Who can take part
- You have had a stroke, with persistent arm/hand weakness (for the main stroke group)
- If you are in the moderate-impairment group: your dominant right hand arm has limited movement, with specific scoring ranges
- You cannot have any arm/hand conditions or injuries that limited use before your stroke (for some stroke groups)
- You must not be allergic to electrode gel, surgical tape, or metal used with the device
- You must be able to have brain imaging (MRI) and have no MRI contraindications for your group
- You must not be pregnant or able to become pregnant during the study
