MRI study of brain damage after bleeding stroke

Intracerebral Haemorrhage

This study looks at small areas of damage (called ischaemic lesions) seen on MRI after a bleeding stroke. It aims to understand how common they are and what they mean for recovery. Participants will have an MRI scan within a few days of their stroke.

Who can take part

  • You were diagnosed with a bleeding stroke (hemorrhagic stroke) on a CT scan.
  • Your stroke symptoms started less than 48 hours ago (or you were last seen well less than 48 hours ago).
  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You can have an MRI scan (no metal implants, claustrophobia, or instability).
  • You do not need anesthesia to complete the scan.
