CT and CTA scans for brain bleed care

Who can take part

  • You were diagnosed with a brain bleed (hemorrhage) by a CT scan when you arrived at the hospital.
  • You had a CT scan and a special detailed CT scan (CTA) within 8 hours of when your symptoms started.
  • You had another CT scan within 24 hours of being admitted.
  • Your medical records are complete and available for research.
  • You are not taking long-term blood thinners and do not have a blood disease that affects clotting.
  • The brain bleed is not caused by an injury, a tumor, a malformed blood vessel, or an aneurysm.
