  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are currently taking a vitamin K antagonist (a blood thinner like warfarin).
  • You have received a 4-factor prothrombin complex concentrate (such as BALFAXAR or Kcentra) within 48 hours before an urgent surgery or procedure.
  • You have not had a blood clot (thromboembolic event) in the last 3 months.
  • Your procedure is urgent (not planned ahead of time).
