Who can take part

  • You must have Parkinson's disease (the most common type).
  • You must be between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You must have a specific type of brain stimulator called a PERCEPT™ device in a brain area called the subthalamic nucleus (STN), either already implanted for less than a year or soon to be implanted.
  • You must be able to do a simple movement task as part of the study.
  • You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You must not have a serious untreated medical or mental health condition that could make participation unsafe.
