  • You have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease that started for no known reason (idiopathic).
  • You and your doctor have decided that you will have Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) surgery at the University of Minnesota.
  • You are between 21 and 75 years old.
  • You do not have any other major brain or nerve disorder besides Parkinson's.
  • You do not have dementia.
