Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older and have type 1 or type 2 diabetes.
- You have a foot ulcer that is at least 1 cm² and no larger than 25 cm² (about the size of a quarter to a small apple) that has been present for 4 to 52 weeks.
- The ulcer must be on your foot, mostly below the ankle, and go through the skin but not down to the bone.
- Your leg must have good blood flow, confirmed by a test like an ankle-brachial index or toe pressure test.
- You are not currently using certain medications that could slow healing, like high-dose steroids or chemotherapy.
- You are willing to attend weekly study visits and use special footwear or offloading devices as prescribed.
