  • At least one baby molar has a cavity that goes beyond the chewing surface (ICDAS code 3, 4, or 5).
  • The child needs a filling or crown on the tooth as determined by the dentist.
  • Parent or guardian agrees to the study and can bring the child to follow-up visits.
  • The child can cooperate during dental treatment (no severe fear or behavioral issues).
