Predicting brain artery disease in back-of-head strokes

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You had a stroke in the back part of the brain (posterior circulation).
  • You had a procedure to remove a clot from a brain artery (mechanical thrombectomy).
  • You do not have a stroke in the front part of the brain (anterior circulation).
  • You do not have bleeding in the brain (intracranial hemorrhage).
  • You do not have significant narrowing or blockage of the large neck arteries (extracranial large vessel atherosclerosis).
