Who can take part

  • You have sensorineural hearing loss (nerve-related hearing loss) and are getting or already have a cochlear implant from Advanced Bionics, Cochlear, or MED-EL.
  • You are 12 years old or older on the day of implant surgery.
  • You have not had a cochlear implant in that ear before.
  • You do not have an active ear infection or a hole in your eardrum with infection.
  • You are not taking part in any other study of an investigational device or drug.
