Who can take part

  • You must be eligible for a cochlear implant in one or both ears.
  • You need to have at least some natural hearing left in the ear to be implanted.
  • You must be 18 years of age or older.
  • You cannot have had a previous cochlear implant in the same ear.
  • You must not have certain inner ear problems like cochlear bone malformation or a skull fracture that affected the inner ear.
