  • You have had your entire thyroid removed.
  • Your thyroid was removed due to differentiated thyroid cancer or benign nodules.
  • You do not have anaplastic thyroid cancer.
  • Your cancer has not spread to distant parts of your body.
  • You do not have Graves' disease or a toxic nodule.
  • You are not pregnant.
