Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid).
- You are currently taking levothyroxine, a thyroid hormone medication.
- Your levothyroxine dose is more than 1.2 micrograms per kilogram of your body weight.
- Your weight is between 50 and 100 kilograms (about 110 to 220 pounds).
- You are not pregnant, planning to become pregnant in the next 6 months, or breastfeeding.
- You do not have certain other conditions like uncontrolled diabetes, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or a history of a specific type of thyroid cancer.
