Who can take part
- Your child must have hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS) and be scheduled for the Glenn procedure (Stage II surgery) before their first birthday.
- Your child cannot have a heart pump or have needed one in the last 5 days before surgery.
- Your child must not have a bleeding disorder, cancer, or a weakened immune system.
- Your child cannot have certain heart rhythm problems or abnormal lab results (like low red blood cells or high liver enzymes).
- Your child must not have a genetic condition that limits life expectancy to less than 1 year.
