Who can take part

  • Your child is scheduled for a specific heart surgery called an extracardiac total cavopulmonary connection
  • You (or your legal guardian) can give permission, and your child can agree if they are able
  • Surgery is planned (not urgent or emergency)
  • The new graft size needed is between 12 mm and 24 mm in diameter
  • Your child does not have a pacemaker
