Who can take part

  • You are between 4 and 39 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy (your heart's main pumping chamber is enlarged and weak).
  • Your heart's pumping strength (ejection fraction) is 45% or less, measured in the last 6 months.
  • You have tried standard heart failure medicines for at least 3 months without enough improvement.
  • You have not had a heart transplant and are not currently on the waiting list for a transplant.
  • You do not have an active infection, cancer (within the last 5 years), or serious kidney or liver problems.
