Stem cell infusion for single-ventricle heart failure during surgery

Who can take part

  • You have a single-ventricle heart condition with heart failure, and surgery is planned (either Glenn stage 2 or Fontan stage 3)
  • An ultrasound of the heart shows an ejection fraction (EF) of 55% or less
  • A parent/guardian can sign consent in writing for the study
  • No history of cardiogenic shock (life-threatening heart pumping failure)
  • No life-threatening rhythm problems or severe uncontrollable irregular heartbeat
