Who can take part

  • You had your first stroke (either bleeding or clot) and it happened between 1 day and 1 month ago.
  • You have weakness or paralysis on one side of your body.
  • Your ankle muscles are weak (scored 2 or less on manual muscle testing).
  • Your ankle feels stiff, or you have trouble lifting your foot upward.
  • You are between 30 and 85 years old.
