Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You will be under general anesthesia (completely asleep).
  • Your surgery requires one-lung ventilation using a double-lumen breathing tube.
  • You are not scheduled to have the breathing tube placed while you are awake.
  • You do not have any airway abnormalities that would make tube placement difficult.
  • You are willing to give your consent to participate in the study.
