Who can take part

  • You are 19 years old or older.
  • You are having ear, nose, or throat surgery that requires a breathing tube through your nose.
  • You do not have a history of gastroesophageal reflux disease (heartburn that comes up into your throat).
  • You have not had surgery or radiation therapy on your throat or upper airway.
  • You do not have severely loose teeth.
