Who can take part

  • You are an adult (age 18 or older).
  • You are not pregnant (if female, otherwise disregard).
  • You were successfully revived after a cardiac arrest and needed a breathing tube.
  • You have been on a breathing machine (ventilator) for at least 4 days.
  • In the first day in the ICU, doctors did not decide to limit any life-saving treatments.
  • You are not on a heart-lung bypass machine or similar support device.
