Who can take part

  • You are between 15 and 75 years old.
  • You have immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) with low platelet counts: either under 30,000 or under 50,000 with bleeding symptoms.
  • Your blood test shows a positive antinuclear antibody (ANA).
  • Other specific autoantibodies (like dsDNA, SSA, SSB, RNP, β2-GP, ACA, ANCA) are negative.
  • Your blood clotting times (PT and aPTT) are nearly normal, and you have no history of clotting problems except from ITP.
  • You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant, and you agree to use effective birth control during the trial and for 28 days after.
