Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have coronary artery disease requiring a stent (including stable chest pain, a heart attack, or unstable angina).
  • Your blockage is at a point where an artery splits into two branches (a 'true bifurcation' as seen on an angiogram).
  • You can safely take blood thinner medications (antiplatelet therapy) after the procedure.
  • You are not pregnant, and you do not have a planned major surgery that would require stopping these medications soon after the stent.
