Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You are scheduled for neck surgery to remove a herniated disc and fuse the bones.
  • You have neck-related symptoms like pain, numbness, or weakness that match what the MRI shows.
  • Your MRI shows a single level of narrowing in the lower part of your neck (C3 to C7).
  • You do not have a pacemaker or any other reason that would prevent an MRI.
  • You have not had prior brain or spine surgery, and you do not have other neurological or cancer conditions.
