Nicotinamide for mild to moderate ulcerative colitis

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old and have mild to moderate ulcerative colitis that has lasted at least 3 months.
  • You have had at least one flare-up of UC in the last year.
  • You have not used any biologic drugs or strong immune-suppressing medications for UC in the past.
  • You are not currently taking steroids or rectal treatments, or you are on a stable dose of 5-ASA medication for at least 4 weeks.
  • You do not have severe anemia, kidney problems, or a history of colon cancer.
