This study tests two new drugs, alone and together, to lower a type of cholesterol called Lp(a) that increases heart disease risk. You may qualify if you have high Lp(a) and your LDL cholesterol is still high despite current treatment.

Who can take part

  • Your Lp(a) level must be at least 20 mg/dL (and may need to be higher depending on the group).
  • Your bad cholesterol (LDL) must be above 70 mg/dL.
  • Your triglycerides (another blood fat) must be under 400 mg/dL.
  • Your blood sugar control must be good (HbA1c under 10%, fasting sugar under 270 mg/dL).
  • You must not have had a heart attack, stroke, or related event in the past 3 months.
