Who can take part

  • You have an autoimmune inflammatory rheumatic disease (like lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, or similar).
  • You are currently taking steroids or other medicines that suppress your immune system.
  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You have not yet received the standard preventive treatment (TMP/SMZ) for pneumocystis pneumonia.
  • You do not have severe liver, kidney, or blood problems, and you do not have HIV, cancer, or an organ transplant.
  • You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or allergic to sulfa drugs.
