This study tests whether breathing muscle training can improve exercise capacity and symptoms in people with a type of heart failure called HFpEF. You may qualify if you are already on certain heart medications and are stable enough to exercise.

Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have been taking certain heart medications (SGLT2 inhibitor, spironolactone, and possibly a beta-blocker) for at least 3 months.
- Your heart failure symptoms are mild to moderate (NYHA class I to III).
- Your body mass index (BMI) is 40 or less.
- You are a nonsmoker now, and your past smoking history is less than 20 pack-years (for example, no more than 1 pack a day for 20 years).
- You are able to exercise without significant joint or muscle problems that limit you.
