Who can take part

  • You have daytime systolic blood pressure between 135 and 160 mmHg (measured with a 24-hour monitor).
  • You exercise less than 150 minutes per week (for example, not doing moderate activities like brisk walking regularly).
  • If you take blood pressure medication, your dose must have been stable for at least 4 weeks and you agree not to change it during the 24-week study.
  • You do not have certain heart rhythm problems, work night shifts, or have bleeding issues.
  • You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or have active cancer.
