Who can take part

  • You are scheduled for heart valve replacement surgery.
  • You are not allergic to any ingredients in the study supplement.
  • Your weight is between 50 kg (110 lbs) and 100 kg (220 lbs).
  • You do not have severe kidney failure or need dialysis.
  • You do not have an active infection, like endocarditis.
  • You have not had a CT scan with contrast dye in the 3 days before joining.
