This study tests a new investigational drug (OsrhCT) for people with pleurisy who have fluid buildup that isn't fully draining with a chest tube. The goal is to see if the drug is safe and can help break up the fluid so it drains better.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 65 years old.
  • You have pleurisy (inflammation around the lungs) with fluid buildup confirmed by ultrasound or CT scan, and a chest tube is needed but isn't fully draining the fluid.
  • You have fibrous bands or pockets in the fluid shown on imaging within the last month.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and if you could have children, you agree to use effective birth control during the study and for 3 months after.
  • You have no known or suspected cancer-related fluid buildup, no recent clot-dissolving treatment in the chest, and no severe health issues like active HIV or organ transplant.
