  • You have had ankle pain for a while and it's been diagnosed as a cartilage injury in the ankle bone (called OLT)
  • The injury is either very large or a specific type that is hard to heal on its own
  • You have tried at least 3 months of non-surgical treatments like rest, physical therapy, or bracing, but they didn't help
  • You are willing to have surgery and follow a rehab program afterward
  • You are not pregnant or planning to become pregnant soon
