Who can take part
- You have painful talus cartilage damage (Hepple stage V) that is at least 5 mm deep
- Your ankle function score is 80 points or less (AOFAS)
- You tried non-surgical treatments for at least 6 months without enough improvement
- The injury is only on one side (one ankle) and there is no matching damage on the shin/tibial side
- You do not have certain related joint problems or conditions (like ankle arthritis with narrowing, gout in the ankle, osteoporosis, or leg deformity)
