Who can take part
- You are scheduled for a planned (non-emergency) trauma surgery.
- You are 65 years or older, or have any of these warning signs: heart problems, family history of amyloidosis, nerve issues in hands or feet, or kidney/liver disease without a clear cause.
- You can follow study instructions and attend evaluations.
- You must sign a consent form (or have a legal representative sign for you).
- You must not have been previously diagnosed with amyloidosis.
