Radiation schedule for advanced small-cell lung cancer after chemo-immunotherapy

Who can take part

  • You must have small-cell lung cancer that has spread beyond the lung (extensive stage).
  • Your tumor must have responded or stayed stable after initial chemo plus immunotherapy (atezolizumab or durvalumab).
  • You need to be well enough to walk and take care of yourself (ECOG 0-2).
  • You must be able to receive 15 daily radiation sessions to your chest and up to 3 radiation sessions to other tumor spots.
  • Brain metastases are allowed if they are controlled (e.g., after whole-brain radiation).
  • You cannot have had radiation to your chest before, or have any other active cancer or severe lung inflammation.
