Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You had a brain bleed (hemorrhage) inside the brain tissue, such as in the basal ganglia, thalamus, brain lobes, brainstem, or cerebellum
  • You had a CT scan within 24 hours of the bleeding starting
  • Your brain bleed was not caused by a head injury, abnormal blood vessels, an aneurysm, or a tumor
  • You did not have a stroke caused by a blood clot that turned into bleeding
  • You did not have surgery to remove the bleed or place a drain before the CT scan
