  • You are 18 or older.
  • You had a brain bleed (not from an injury) confirmed on a CT scan.
  • You developed a serious lung problem (ARDS) within 7 days after the bleed.
  • You are on a breathing machine or need one.
  • You do not have a serious infection, lung disease, or kidney failure.
