- You are between 35 and 80 years old.

- You have some weakness or trouble moving, speaking, or feeling on one side of your body, but your score on a stroke severity scale is between 4 and 24.
- You do not have severe heart, liver, kidney, or other health problems, and you are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
