Who can take part

  • You are between 40 and 60 years old.
  • Your blood pressure is slightly high (top number 120-140 mmHg) but not above 140.
  • Your blood sugar is higher than normal but not to the level of diabetes (fasting glucose 100-125 mg/dL or HbA1c 5.7-6.4%).
  • You are not taking any medications for blood pressure or diabetes.
  • You are willing to avoid alcohol and heavy exercise for 24 hours before each study visit.
