This study tests if bedaquiline can prevent tuberculosis (TB) in people who have been in close contact with someone with active TB, including people living with HIV. If you qualify, you would take the study medicine and be monitored to see if it prevents you from developing TB.

Who can take part
- You must be in close contact with someone who has active TB (lived with them or spent more than 4 hours indoors with them in the last 90 days before they started treatment).
- If you are a child under 5, you can join regardless of other test results.
- If you are 5 or older, you need to have a positive test for TB infection or be living with HIV.
- You cannot have active TB yourself or have already completed treatment for TB infection.
- Your kidney, liver, and blood test results must meet certain safe levels, and you must not be pregnant.
- You must be willing to take a dolutegravir-based HIV medicine if you have HIV, or switch to one before joining.
