Who can take part

  • Your TB test shows TB (by culture or a molecular test).
  • Your HIV test is positive (or you have a known HIV positive history).
  • Your TB test shows TB is resistant to rifampicin, confirmed by a DNA test (like GeneXpert) or standard drug-sensitivity testing.
  • You start a TB regimen that includes bedaquiline within 4 weeks of enrolling—and this is your first time using bedaquiline.
  • You are already taking HIV treatment that includes dolutegravir, or you can start it within 4 weeks of enrolling.
  • You can understand and consent in English or isiZulu.
