Who can take part

  • You are being treated in the emergency department of Beijing Chao-yang Hospital.
  • Your heart restarted (return of spontaneous circulation) but you are still unconscious.
  • You are in the intensive care unit (ICU) and have a breathing tube to help you breathe.
  • You are receiving targeted temperature management (a treatment to control your body temperature).
  • You do not have a traumatic brain injury or a stroke as shown on a CT scan.
  • You do not have severe health problems like wasting syndrome, thyroid disease, or cancer.
