This trial tests whether a new medicine called finerenone can help people with IgA nephropathy, a kidney disease. You may be able to join if you are already on blood pressure medications, your kidney function is at a certain level, and you haven't needed immune-suppressing drugs recently.

Who can take part

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • You must have a kidney biopsy confirming IgA nephropathy within the last 2 years.
  • You must be taking a stable, maximum dose of an ACE inhibitor or ARB (blood pressure medicines) for at least 3 months.
  • Your urine test (UACR) must show protein levels between 500 and 3500 mg/g.
  • Your kidney function (eGFR) must be 30 mL/min/1.73m² or higher.
  • You cannot have had any steroid or immune-suppressing treatment in the past 3 months.
