Who can take part
- You must be 18 or older and have had a kidney biopsy showing IgA nephropathy in the last 8 years.
- Your kidney function (eGFR) must be at least 30, and your urine protein level must be at least 0.75.
- You need to have been on a stable dose of blood pressure medications (like ACE inhibitors or ARBs) for at least 90 days before starting.
- You should not have taken certain immune-suppressing drugs (like steroids or rituximab) within 90 days, or Nefecon within 6 months.
- You need to have been vaccinated against certain bacteria (meningococcus and pneumococcus) before starting, or take preventive antibiotics.
