Erythropoietin for newborns with HIE brain injury

Neonatal Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy

Treatments studied

Part of Brain & nervous system clinical trials.

This study tests whether a medicine called erythropoietin can help newborns with a brain injury from lack of oxygen (HIE). It is for babies less than 1 month old and aims to see if the treatment improves their recovery.

Breast milk through the nose for HIE

This trial tests whether giving fresh breast milk through the nose is safe and possible for newborns with HIE (a brain injury from oxygen loss at birth) who are already receiving cooling therapy. It may help protect the brain and reduce injury.

NCT05395195Recruiting· Phase 3
Erythropoietin for newborn brain injury in low-resource settings

This Phase 3 trial studies whether erythropoietin (a medicine related to red-blood-cell growth) can improve outcomes for newborns with moderate to severe brain injury after birth. The study focuses on babies born in low- and middle-income countries and aims to reduce harm from this early brain condition.

Study for newborns with severe oxygen-related brain injury

This trial is for newborn babies who had an oxygen shortage around birth and now have severe brain injury. It aims to test approaches that may help improve outcomes after this kind of early-life brain damage.

Blood marker study for newborns with lack of oxygen at birth

This study looks at a special blood marker in full-term newborns who had brain injury from lack of oxygen during birth. It aims to help doctors better understand and treat this condition.

NCT07555652Recruiting
Cooling treatment for newborns with birth-related brain injury

This trial studies whether cooling a newborn's body after a difficult birth helps prevent brain damage. Researchers will track babies treated with this cooling therapy and use brain imaging to see how well it works.
