Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with thyroid eye disease (TAO) at this hospital after August 31, 2024.
  • Your TAO is considered moderate to severe by standard medical criteria.
  • In your more affected eye, the clinical activity score (CAS) is 3 or higher on a 7-point scale.
  • You have not received a high cumulative dose of steroids (equivalent to more than 1 gram of methylprednisolone) for your eye condition.
  • You do not have a sight-threatening complication needing urgent treatment.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and you are healthy enough for an orbital MRI.
