Study of inclisiran for children with high cholesterol

This trial tests a medicine called inclisiran to lower high cholesterol in children ages 6 to 12 with a genetic condition called heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HeFH). It may help children who still have high cholesterol despite taking other treatments.

Who can take part

  • Child must be between 6 and 12 years old.
  • Child must have a confirmed diagnosis of heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HeFH).
  • Fasting LDL cholesterol must be higher than 130 mg/dL at screening.
  • For children ages 8 to 12, they must be on a stable dose of a statin (unless unable to take statins) and/or other cholesterol-lowering drugs for at least 30 days before screening.
  • Child must not have been treated with certain other investigational medications or had previous treatment with PCSK9 antibody drugs in the last 90 days.
  • Child must weigh at least 16 kilograms (about 35 pounds).
