Who can take part

  • You are between 6 and 17 years old.
  • You weigh more than 40 pounds (18 kg) and have a BMI between 17 and 42.
  • You have been diagnosed with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HeFH).
  • Your LDL cholesterol is 130 mg/dL or higher, even with current cholesterol medications.
  • You must be on a stable diet and cholesterol medications for at least 6 weeks.
  • If you are sexually active, you must use effective birth control (girls) or agree to use condoms or other contraception (boys).
