Who can take part

  • You have a torn Achilles tendon that happened within the last 10 days and only on one side.
  • You are not taking blood thinners (like warfarin or apixaban).
  • You do not have a known allergy to contrast dye (used in some imaging).
  • You do not have kidney failure, heart failure with swelling, or a blood clot in the past 3 months.
  • You are not pregnant, do not have cancer, and have not had surgery on this tendon before.
