  • You are an adult (18 years or older).
  • You are scheduled for elective surgery that requires a breathing tube through the nose.
  • You do not have a severe nose deformity.
  • You are not currently having a major nosebleed.
  • You do not have a reason that prevents the tube from being placed in one specific nostril.
